July 2002 - A new look for Seven; a new ID for Southern Cross. These IDs from the parallelogram style of Seven feature Seven Network stars playing in a studio with water on the floor, 5 different coloured mood lights and video of moving parallelograms in the background. |
Jun 2002 - This ID showed behind-the-scenes footage from Channel Seven's Australian produced programmes. Southern Cross made some new little animations to cover up the 7 logos throughout the ID. |
Oct 2001 - Another ID from Seven; this one focusing on the 5 coloured men. Southern Cross integrated their end animation into the end of this ident, rather than just cutting to it. |
March 2001 - A newer version of the programme promo IDs used in late 2000. This was the first ID produced in widescreen to be shown on Southern Cross, and in this video you can see how the 16:9 source is just squashed to fit on the screen. Letterboxing was introduced later. |

Feb 2001 - A new original ident for Southern Cross, but based on the first idents of 2000. It has a binocular shape around the video as if looking for the Tasmanian Tiger. The end tiger animation is used but more originally than in the past few idents. This ident was used alongside all the 2000 and 2001 idents below. |

Jan 2001 - This ident is a version of Channel Seven's. It features olympian Cathy Freeman trying her best to play other sports Seven cover. Southern Cross put their logo on some of the scene's, kind of like Channel Ten did on their idents. Southern Cross once again put their tiger animation at the end of the ident. When this ident was brought in, all the previous idents from 2000 below were brought back as well. |

Oct 2000 - This ident is a version of Channel Seven's. It features actors/presenters from Channel Seven shows doing 'entertaining' things. In some cases, the sound is 'distorted' with the picture (you can hear an elephant's roar, but no elephant!). This ident was used from September/October 2000. Once again the only part produced by Southern Cross is the end animation. As Seven brought out new versions, Southern Cross adopted to them. |
April 2000 - This ident was introduced in mid 2000, and was a version of Channel Seven's. It features Seven Network shows shown on Southern Cross. The end animation is the only part produced by Southern Cross. |
Feb 2000 - An Olympic ident was used leading to the Sydney Olympics. It is a version of Channel Seven's. |
Jan 2000 - This package featured the first all new logo for Southern Cross since 1989. It did get a new original ident, but it kept the Channel 7 slogan 'the one to watch', the 5 colours, and music from Channel 7 is heard in parts of the ident. There were a series of idents made, featuring different locations. |
