From a univeristy communications degree, Simone began working for Prime Television Canberra, but was compelled to move into sport broadcasting and soon found a position with ABC-TV Sydney. She is now a presenter on ABC Radio's Grandstand programme.

Vanessa joined Sky News after working at NBN Television and Prime Television in Newcastle. She was a court and criminal reporter and presented the late night news in Northern NSW. After working at Channel Nine in Sydney she moved to Sky News as a senior journalist.
