Triangle Television

Triangle Television

Triangle Television began broadcasting to the greater Auckland region on 1 August 1998. It was New Zealand's first non-commertial regional TV station.
It broadcasts 24 hours a day on UHF 41. The channel operates as a public broadcaster, combining a mix of regional-access television and international news and information programmes.

Triangle acts independently from programme providers. This means the editorial control remains with the programme provider, and that no group is given preference in broadcast time or access to resources.

Time not taken up by community programmes is filled with public service and international programming.
